Paypal buttons in your SimDif Pro site

The most important is to define first if you really need Paypal.

Then, depending on your particular case, you want to make the best of their service.

Online marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart are very popular and inspiring, but what if you want to use your SimDif Pro site to sale something online ?

Let's review 3 typical cases:

You sell services

If you are a teacher, a hairdresser, a technical writer, etc., a personal relationship with your customers (to understand their specific needs, to adjust your offer adequately...) is likely to be key for your business. In these cases, an automatic order processing system on your website would not help you much.

Instead, consider the following 2 easy-to-implement pieces of advice, as they may help you extend your customer reach and develop your customer loyalty:

Create a Contact Page. Then, insert a new block of text in this page, and use the Move Mode to place it on top of the form. In this block, input a short explanatory text listing the pieces of information you need to process the inquiry: contact phone number, expected date and time of the appointment...

Use online invoicing. These services usually charge a small per-transaction fees but offer you efficient online tools to prepare your invoices and new means of payments (Visa cards, MasterCards, Paypal) to increase your customer reach. With Paypal Online Invoicing, it is a 2 step setup:

  1. Creating (or upgrading) your Paypal account
  2. Preparing your invoice

You sell products

The above statements still apply if:

  • You customize the products you sell.
  • Shipping cost depends on many factors.
  • You prefer getting in touch with each of your customers.

Otherwise, you may install Paypal buttons to take orders automatically. The setup has four steps:

  1. Creating (or upgrading) your Paypal account
  2. Choosing the right kind of button
  3. Enabling the e-commerce feature on your SimDif site
  4. Creating the buttons

Note: Please check with Paypal that your customers won't need to have a Paypal account to pay you.

You work in the not-for-profit sector

With a Pro site, you can collect donations through a Paypal button.
You just need to follow the next 3 steps:

  1. Creating (or upgrading) your Paypal account
  2. Enabling the e-commerce feature on your SimDif site
  3. Creating the button
Note: Please check with Paypal that your donors won't need to have a Paypal account to contribute.
